BT Group and Verizon to form joint venture, creating a scaled international connectivity platform for multinational customers

BT Group and Verizon agree to combine their respective international operations in a 50:50 joint venture, creating a new company focused on multinational connectivity. The joint venture will serve more than 3,000 customers across more than 180 countries, representing approx. $4 billion in combined annual revenue. The combination of international networking businesses creates a future-ready, scaled organisation underpinned by a new platform designed for the age of cloud and AI. Martijn Blanken is appointed Chief Executive Officer-designate of the new joint venture, conditional on completion of the transaction. The transaction is expected to complete in 2027, subject to regulatory clearances and other customary closing conditions.

BT enters agreement with TNS for the sale of its Radianz business

BT has agreed to sell its Radianz business to Transaction Network Services (TNS), with completion expected in the first half of 2026, subject to regulatory approval. BT Group announces leadership succession within Openreach and BT International

BT Group has announced leadership succession plans for Openreach and BT International. From 1 April 2026, Katie Milligan will become CEO of Openreach, succeeding Clive Selley, who will move to become CEO of BT International. Clive Selley will lead BT International as it continues its transformation into a next-generation global telco platform focused on secure multi-cloud connectivity for multinational customers. He succeeds Bas Burger, who will leave BT after 18 years, having helped establish BT International as a standalone international business.
